Part 3 - Enhancement Study

In order to look for better result, Antenna Construction part 3 is about adding a balun and an amplifier for stability improvement.

A balun is used to prevent feedline pickup. With it, signal reception will not be interfered even when people is moving around the antenna.

Our balun is a EMI choke made by winding the coax through three ferrite toroidal core three times.
An amplifier is also added to enhance the signal strength and reliability.  A RCA 10dB 50-900MHz amplifier is used.

The finished setup.

Another compact configuration of the choke balun and amplifier.

Besides of using my camera tripod as it's stand, this antenna setup is almost perfect for receiving the local high quality OTA HD programmings.
